Full Swing Golf has undertaken an internal software development effort, aimed at creating an Online Tournament golf system for Full Swing Golf Simulators. This system allows for real time competition between golfers in a variety of locations.
This document records the official rules for the Online Tournament competition.
Each season you'll be able to play tournaments at your local Full Swing Golf Simulator location. The tournament will have a start and end date and time. All tournaments times in the website are (GMT) Greenwich Mean Time. You'll have to complete your round between the tournament start and end date times. Scores from your tournament play will be automatically uploaded to this website, where live leaderboard results will be available. Prizes are awarded according to each tournaments description.
You can sign up for tournaments or view the results from anywhere with Internet access. For those without Internet access, many Full Swing Golf Simulator locations have a terminal dedicated to this website.
Test your golf skills and have fun competing in the Full Swing Golf Indoor Golf Club!
Golfers must become Full Swing Golf Indoor Golf Club players to compete. Sign up at the home page of this website from any computer with Internet access, or at an official Full Swing Golf Simulator touchscreen. Memberships last 12 months, and may expire before a season ends. Full Swing Golf will send a reminder email to renew your membership, but be sure to stay current year-round in order to complete a full season of Online Tournaments.
See the Leaderboards page of this website for this season's complete tournament schedule. 2.3 Entering a Tournament The first requirement for joining a tournament is locating a Full Swing Golf Simulator that is connected to the tournament scoring system. You can find the location nearest to you by clicking on Golf Locations from this website.
Next, you must sign up for a Full Swing Golf Online Tournaments player account. Enter your Login and Password from this website to join. You can sign in at any computer with Internet access, or via a dedicated tournament terminal available at many Full Swing Golf Simulator locations.
Once your membership has been confirmed and you have signed in to this website, go to your My Golf Home Page. Click Play Tournaments to view the season schedule. Then, click Play next to the tournament in which you wish to participate in. Follow the instructions on screen, and get ready to play.
Competitors will have 24 hours to complete each 18-hole round, and the window of play will run from 00:00 GMT (midnight) to 11:59 GMT on the same day. Please adjust your available time to your time zone. Rounds will not be accepted if they are started before 00:00 GMT or if they are not completed by 11:59 GMT of the tournament end date.
Upon successfully entering a tournament, you will receive an email with details about that specific tournament, including when your first round will be accepted. In a multi-round tournament, you don't need to complete all rounds at one location. It is entirely valid for you to play round one in Oslo, round two in Minneapolis, round three in Beijing, etc. (This might prove to be a bit of a handicap.)
Once the tournament end time (e.g. 11:59 GMT) has passed, all rounds in progress will be disqualified. Therefore, make sure to leave yourself ample time to finish. Upon completion, results will be displayed on the official Leaderboards page on this website. You will receive an email notifying you of where you placed, and how to collect any prizes that you may have won. 2.5 Scoring The scoring system for a tournament, e.g. stroke play or stableford, will be declared in advance. Click on a tournament's name to see this and other relevant details. The Full Swing Golf Simulator will count your strokes for you. The score for each hole will be recorded and submitted to the Full Swing Golf Online Tournaments system, and will be displayed on the website leaderboard.
Golf is a game of honor, and even at the highest level where professional golfers are competing for large earnings, players turn themselves in for rules infractions. Playing on a Full Swing Golf Simulator is remarkably close to golf in the outdoors, but it is not identical. The simulator cannot force you to move your ball to a rough or sand lie using the variations in hitting turf. We hope the spirit of golf's integrity will keep players honest. To read our official Full Swing Golf Indoor Golf Club Code of Honor click here.
At this time, we are not requiring multi-person groups for Online Tournament play. If valid scoring is found to be questionable in the future, we may require that a playing companion attest scores. In that spirit, we recommend that you play in two, three and four person groups whenever possible. This way, your playing partners can informally attest to the validity of your Online Tournament round. 2.6 To whom do I direct scoring disputes? Full Swing Golf wants the tournaments to be played with the utmost integrity, upholding Full Swing Golf's Indoor Golf Club Rules and Code of Honor. Should you question the scoring of others or the manner in which the tournament system recorded your scores, please send the details of your issue to
2.7 How is my official Full Swing Golf Indoor Golf Club handicap calculated and where can I learn more about it?

2.8 StandingsThe final standings for a tournament will be displayed immediately upon conclusion of the allowed playing deadline. The results will not become official for 24 hours, to allow time for any scoring issues to be resolved. After 24 hours, the standings are final and competitors are notified of their position (and possible prizes) via email. Be sure to check your email for results.
The final standings for all tournaments played will be stored on the Full Swing Golf Indoor Golf Club website.
Additional logs and other auditing options are available upon request to ensure the transparency and security of our scoring system.
2.9 Rub of the green The Full Swing Golf Simulator uses technology to recreate the game of golf. When the simulator is used in an Online Tournament, it is a game of skill. However, just as in real golf, there are elements of the technology and game that cannot be fully controlled. USGA rule 19-1 accommodates any accidental influence on the ball by an outside agency, and whether the ball is influenced in real life or in the simulation, this rule still applies. If a ball in motion is accidentally deflected or stopped by any outside agency, it is a rub of the green, there is no penalty and the ball must be played as it lies except:
a. If a ball in motion after a stroke other than on the putting green comes to rest in or on any moving or animate outside agency, the player must, through the green or in a hazard, drop the ball, or on the putting green place the ball, as near as possible to the spot where the outside agency was when the ball came to rest in or on it, and
b. If a ball in motion after a stroke on the putting green is deflected or stopped by, or comes to rest in or on, any moving or animate outside agency except a worm or an insect, the stroke is canceled. The ball must be replaced and the stroke replayed. If the ball is not immediately recoverable, another ball may be substituted.
